Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation

The Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation is a structural unit of the hospital (with a polyclinic) of the State Institution "TMA of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Khmelnytsky region".
The hospital (with a polyclinic) is located in the same territory. The polyclinic and the inpatient department are connected by an internal passage, which gives great advantages in patient care. The department is located on the 1st and 4th floors of the hospital building.
The working hours of the Department are from 8-00 to 16.00.
Treatment is usually without medications, and therefore, the absence of adverse reactions, allergies, etc.

The main tasks of the Department are physical therapy and rehabilitation measures for people with diseases of the spine, central and peripheral nervous system, consequences of injuries to the musculoskeletal system, and respiratory diseases.

Rehabilitation therapy and exercise therapy:

1. general recreational gymnastics (individual classes for adults and children)
2. group of HADU gymnastics
3. exercise therapy for adults and children with flat feet, and posture disorders (scoliosis, lordosis, stoop, etc.)
4. individual rehabilitation classes on the Evminov preventor
5. individual development after fractures
6. individual classes with stroke patients (recovery period)
7. individual development for diseases of the musculoskeletal system (arthritis, osteochondrosis, herniated discs).

Physical therapy and rehabilitation in the Department are used:

1.     General massage of the body or individual areas, massage with development, hardware massage " Relax" and vibro massage on the traction table of a German manufacturer.
2.     Kinesiotherapy:

•          mechanotherapy: suspension therapy system with blocks and suspensions, universal simulator, simulators for joint development, treadmill, rehabilitation table for fine motor skills
•          individual exercise therapy (with and without the use of equipment): passive movements, exercises for the development/improvement of balance, flexibility, and relaxation of muscles - coordination through individual therapy with the correct movement; exercises at the gymnastic wall, training of self-care and movement skills, general developmental exercises, exercises on the Evminov preventor.
•          group exercise classes (HADU).

3.    Range of physiotherapeutic procedures:

•          Electrotherapy: galvanization, drug electrophoresis, amplipulse therapy, diadynamic therapy, darsonvalization, magnetotherapy, UHF therapy, microwave therapy, electrosonotherapy.
•           Light therapy: UVO, laser therapy, color therapy, infrared rays.
•           Pressotherapy for upper and lower extremities.
•           TENS- electromyostimulation.
•           Ultrasound. 
•           Inhalation therapy.                          
•           Phytotherapy.
